Yasunori Kidani

Born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1963. Painter and picture book author. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art, Department of Oil Painting. Completed graduate studies in art at Tokyo University of the Arts. Engages in creative activities centered on themes such as “creating opportunities for creativity” and “childlike art.” His narrative corporate training programs using art are also well received. Solo exhibitions include “Dream Girls” (Ethan Cowen Fine Arts, NY) and “Hello at the Intersection Exhibition #4 Yasunori Kitani” (ONVO SALON URAWA, Saitama). In 2015, he debuted as a picture book author under the pen name “Yasunori Kidani”. He has published 15 books. Since 2017, he has participated as a painter and researcher in the “Nursery School Art Museum Project” at Aozora Nursery School in Hamura City, Tokyo. He is a professor in the Department of Child Studies at Kawaguchi Junior College, where he is in charge of childcare content (expression and modeling) and art classes.
