(b. 1992, Nankoku City), based in Kochi Prefecture, began creating through performance and found it to be the mode of expression that resonates most with her. Her performances are characterized by not aiming for “completion,” sometimes ending abruptly, incorporating the unique qualities of the site, and using objects she brings with her. Within a span of 15 to 20 minutes, she shares a sequence of happenings with the audience. Miri Hamada is also actively engaged in both tangible and intangible collaborations with other artists, as well as independently organized projects.
