While imagining a prehistoric Wooden Utensil Era, she conducts research and creates works exploring human-plant relationships and folk culture. She views creation as a method for understanding others and non-human entities, producing pieces that express human activities, the forms of living organisms, and their interrelationships. Recently, she has focused on revealing that wooden objects, imbued with human roles and uses, “remain wood forever” by partially carving them away, directing attention toward the memories of both wood and people.
